The man of the family had a crazy working schedule ever since we returned from the Pangkor trip. After days of contemplating whether we can afford another one vacation, we finally surrendered ourselves for a 5-day break-away. Our initial choice was Redang, but since it was quite a last-minute arrangement, there were less favorable options left for our humble little pockets. We thus opted for Redang Lang Tengah Island Resort, a modest place @ Pulau Lang Tengah, island situated beside Pulau Redang. It was proven as a good deal; quite secluded, low density and breathtakingly beautiful! The intermittent network signal was also a good excuse for us to escape from the uninvited calls from the city! 
The Itineraries:
DAY 1:
1300 Drive from KL
1400 Stop for lunch
1700 Stop by @ Kemaman for high-tea: satar+otak2+pilis+ keropok lekor+teh tarik!
1900 Stop by @ Mesra Mall, newly open shopping mall before Dungun
2000 Stop by @ Dungun, looking for snorkeling set but end-up buying kites
2200 Check-in @ Batu Buruk Resort, Kuala Terengganu
DAY 2:
0800 Breakfast @ resort
0830 Drive to Merang Jetty (tips: better use GPS since there was not much signboard)
0930 Arrive @ Jetty and taking the boat to Lang Tengah after waiting for half an-hour
1120 Arrive @ Lang Tengah Resort, check-in & lunch
1430 Visit Redang Marine Park, snorkeling activities
1700 Fun under the sun @ Lang Tengah sea side
2000 Dinner & surrender early for the night
DAY 3:
0830 Breakfast and another family-fun time under morning sun (escape jungle tracking)
1200 Lunch and leisure
1430 Round Island; stopping by @ 2 places for snorkeling activities
1700 Return to resort , another water splashing activities & tea-time
1900 Enjoy the spectacular sun set before dinner
2200 BBQ dinner, shopping @ the mart & surrender to room since it was raining!
DAY 4:
0730 Breakfast (it was still raining!)
0830 Check-out and on-board to Merang (adventurous boat trip due to strong wave)
1030 Arrived Merang jetty & proceed to Kuala Terengganu (KT)
1120 Drop by @ KT airport since Rafiq wanted to see aero plane
1200 Express shopping @ Pasar Payang
1330 Lunch @ a restaurant overlooking lake beside Masjid Zahrah
1430 Visit (+ shop-till-drop) @ Noor Arfa Complex
1600 Drive our way to Cherating, stopping by @ Kemaman to buy keropok etc.
1800 Check-in @ Impiana Cherating (got 50% discount for Diners card! Yeay…)
2000 Dining outside & sweet lullaby for the nite
DAY 5:
0700 Enjoying the scenic glimpse of sunrise from our balcony
0900 Breakfast, beach strolling & photo shooting
1030 Swimming (due to Rafiq’s demand)
1200 Packing & check-out
1300 Lunch @ Pak Wan seafood (nyumie!)
1400 Started our journey home
1700 Arrived KL

Early this year, we had a short break with family Segamat. Now, we have another one with family Bukit Jelutong . It was a 3D2N holiday @ Teluk Dalam Resort, Pulau Pangkor. Quite a nice place for those who love kampung ambiance. The two-night stay was sponsored by the ever-so-kind Mama Joan. Uncle Salleh & Mama Ita have sponsored the wonderful snorkelling trip. Not to forget Rafiq has also sponsored the dinner. It was a fantastic family break.. and we are looking forward another 'pulau' trip anytime soon...depending on the economical circumstances or any sponsorhip offer!

It has been quite some time since we have posted any pictures here.
And it has been several times our family plan to have a vacation together.
Finally, we managed to have a short break together @ Kuantan Tembeling Resort.
Thanks to Angah for working with Maybank all these years, else we won't be able to stay there for free! 
These are our 'spontaneous itineraries' for those who wonder what to do in Kuantan;
1st Day:
(1) Check-in & lunch (2) Tea time: Celebrate Birthday Aina & Swimming @ Club house (3) Dinner Ikan Bakar + Tomyam @ Tg Lumpur
2nd Day:
(1) Breakfast & enjoy the 'scenic' Teluk Chempedak (2) After lunch: Shopping Keropok Lekor @ Berserah & visit Batik Shoppe (3) Tea Time: teh tarik + satar + otak2 + etc @ Kemaman (4) Enjoy sunset @ Cherating + makan keropok lekor (5) Dinner @ resort since the kids were tired
3rd Day:
(1) Morning walk + enjoy sun rise @ Resort's seaside (2) After breakfast: Visit Mini Zoo Kuantan (3) Check-out & lunch.. back to KL!

Our last stop back to London since flight balik ke Malaysia dari Heathrow..Got 1 full day to leverage on..so we all hire la kete so as to make full use of the time...but x larat la plak nk gi jauh2 cam oxford ke, manchester ke...paling jauh gi pon Slough-southwest of London, tu pon tersesat sebenarnya...heheh
Anyway, hopefully pasnie ada lagi trip camnie...Rafiq suka sgt la mamaa..tgk la Rafiq posing nie...
Memang sesuai utk dibawa jalan ke mana2...

Final day at Paris, pagi tu sempat la round2 dekat hotel in Cardinal Lemoine...then off to umah Mama Junn & Tutie Jolin ptg tu di Toulouse naik Easy Jet (cam Air Asia, tu yg bile Air Asia caj RM 3 utk check in baggage, we all x terkejut sbb Easy Jet ni pon sama, caj 7.75 euro utk 1 checked baggage, so kire murah la kan airasia tu,  )
Toulouse ni kirer cam kampung la..a small and old city..so bley je jalan around the city kalo nak..and also HQ utk airbus..so Pilot Air Asia kene dtg sini pickup plane baru derang bwk balik ke Malaysia..Kedai sumer by 6 tutup and tader cam 7 eleven..and aman x igt la...senyap and peacefull..best!!

Alas...dpt gak pegi disneyland eventhough Paris punye..bought 1 day 2 parks entry but sadly dpt masuk 1 park jerr...not enuff timee..camner nk enuff time cause nk naik 1 ride average waiting time 30-45 mins...pastu alkisahnya pagi tu hujan plak..x pasal2 kene beli raincoat disney RM40..isk2
Anyway, a nice experience and geram tull tgk merchandise disney nie..lawa2, Mug Disney RM50, payung RM150...camner tu?  dh pakai euro kan..so everything kali 5...tapi taper..ini maksudnye kene pegi lagi....eheh..disney mana plak pasnie eh...hong kong ke florida? hermmmm..

2nd phase of tour trip. We all took the eurostar train ke Paris since nk gak merasa naik train 300km/h....anyway the trip took just 2 hours 15 mins crossing english channel(lalu bwh laut)...lagik cepat dari naik plane if u include the check-in time as well and naik train lagik hassle free la since security check die x la strict sgt...
Paris 2.5 days jer and this is where Rafiq met her Mama Junnn and Tutie Jolinn..So jadikla rombongan Cik Kiah ke Paris bak kat Pak Yaq (Pak Yaq aka Bg. Jati study PHD gak kat Paris...so dier jadik tour guide kitorang aaa kat Paris, so sesaper yg nk gi paris bley visit die punye fotopages (http://jatikasuma.fotopages.com for ideas) Tima kasih banyak2 ya Pak Yaq....
Since 1 day dah abis at Disneyland Paris so tinggal 1.5 days la nk layan kota Paris...cam x puas jer and satu lagi derang ni bangga abih ngan bahasa derang aka French...ckp english x layan even though derang paham (only certain la paham pon actually)..so terpaksa la meninggalkan bab2 komunikasi french ni kepada Mama Junn, Tutie Jolin & Pak Yaq nyer.....
Gitu-gitu la yerr...

A memorable trip to Toulouse, France. Alkisahnya, Mama Joan Rafiq study PHD kt Toulouse, France. So we all pon take the chance gi sana since accommodation and rafiq disponsor abis Thank you mama junnn...Len kali bley sponsor lagi..eheh
The phase 1 chronology : London Trip - Alang-alang dah gi France, pegi jugak UK (actually dpt tiket murah from Royal Brunei and destination die London jer, x der Paris) so amik can la gi London skali...a short and compact 10 days journey...
In summary the trip - KL-Brunei-Dubai-London-Paris-Toulouse-London-Dubai-Brunei-KL (Brunei & Dubai stopover kejap je tukar plane and isi minyak)
BON VOYAGE !...

Supercars for Charity @ Sepang International Circuit

24th Feb'08 - Went to see Supercars for charity event at Sepang. An interesting event where you can take a ride in one of the supercars while donating to charity. Of course you cannot drive the cars but you have a chance to ride for 3 laps. Tickets start from RM 300 (Ferrari 360 modena etc) to RM 1000 (Lambo LP640). For us, we buy the cheapest ticket around of coz, for only RM 20 for 2 persons which is by the way the entrance ticket. so okeyla donate RM 20..ada gakla. Maybe next time, we'll participate again.(hopefully to be the driver..eheh)

We spend the CNY break at Clark & Subic Philippine. It was an enjoyable trip, far better beyond expectation. Plus we get the best possible price for both flights & hotels. Here are the anecdotes (please excuse my grammar & sentences);
1st day:
We arrived at Clark 45 minutes earlier than planned & spend the afternoon at Hot Air Balloon International Fiesta (something like LIMA in Malaysia).
Then we went to Subic Bay, which was about 2 hours-drive from Clark (we rented Vios 1.3 for 2 days.) We spent 2 nights in Johan Beach Resort with a sea-view room (the view was fantastic!)
2nd day:
We went to Ocean Adventure at about 10 a.m. It was fun watching the stunts of the witty baby sharks, sea lions & dolphin (they got whale too!). After lunch, we went to Joe Jungle, a theme park, quite an interesting place for the kids though. Rafiq watched his 1st movie in the cinema here. Later in the afternoon, we went to do a ‘very little’ shopping in Subic Tax Free Zone (since most of the items were priced in USD!). It was raining, so we could not spend time at the beach.
3rd day:
Luckily the whether was good! Rafiq spent almost an hour, basking under the sun and get himself all wet in the sea! We check-out & went to Clark. Check-in at ABC hotel & got Room No. 123 (quite a coincidence: ABC-123). Went shopping all out at SM Clark (luckily there were many choices especially for kids clothing plus the price was quite cheaper compared to KL). Went back to hotel when we were too tired to walk and indulge ourselves in the room’s Jacuzzi! (As usual, Rafiq was the most excited one!)
4th day:
Another round of Jacuzzi for Rafiq (sorry dear, the Jacuzzi is too big for our home!). Check out after breakfast & off to the airport. The flight was punctual & we arrived KL 30 minutes earlier! Back to our home sweet home about an hour later, eagerly looking for another holiday, the only question is, can we afford one?
